Live streaming housings, specially built to suit ROVs as secondary navigation cameras or to provide a separate point-of-view (eg upwards or rear-facing). These housings allow for the live GoPro stream to be transmitted to the surface, whilst HD footage is recorded to the GoPro, all while supplying external power to the GoPro.  The onscreen display from the GoPro shows recording status, battery status, recording time and memory card space remaining. Easy and compact mounting using standard GoPro fittings. The housings come in two pressure ratings:

  • the standard GoPro housing is rated to 30 metres
  • the aluminium GoPro housing is rated to 200 metres

One metre of cable is supplied with the units. One end is permanently potted into the rear of the housing to transmit video/power. The other end of the cable has a penetrator potted in and is designed to be integrated into an existing watertight enclosure to use a spare coax or twisted pair of conductors on an existing ROV tether (2 conductors are required, no adapters or baluns necessary) .  The penetrator requires a 10mm untapped hole for installation. The housings are supplied with:

  • a penetrator with fly leads for connection into an existing water tight enclosure;
  • a terminal block for easy connection into the tether;
  • a BNC terminal for topside termination of the cable and connection to any standard TV or monitor with AV IN;
  • 12-30v input/5v output battery eliminator for connecting into your ROV on-board power system to power the GoPro.

Compatible with GoPro Hero 4 Black/Silver. Tested on up to 150m of twisted pair cable with no signal degradation.
