Drop Camera & ROV Kevlar Cable Grip

95.00

Kevlar Cable Grips allow the addition of extra ballast to a drop camera or ROV while still using the main cable for load bearing. Kevlar cable grips remove the need for additional tether lines, making for much easier handling, especially in smaller vessels

These kevlar cable grips are supplied with all of our new ROVs and drop cameras, however they are easily integrated into any existing unit.

Kevlar cable grips are a commonly used device when cable strain relief is required. By dispersing the load over a long distance of cable (appx. 1 metre) strain and compression points are minimised. This allows the main cable to be used to support the drop camera/ROV, without using an additional tether line. We recommend these for users adding ballast to their drop camera, who do not wish to add an additional tow line to their setup, or for users wishing to prolong the longevity of their ROV cable.

Suitable for cables 8-12mm diameter. Note, tow line is still required when using the Squid in the rear facing "trolling camera" position.
